Magic School Bus Uniondale Theatre reviews
Not as enticing as previous shows
The lead female wasn't great, very stiff and almost fake. Newer bits, including the singer with the deep voice, the kung-fu portion, and the second flamenco dance, were not impressive nor did they fit into the flow of what Magic School Bus was years ago. I also wasn't impressed with some of the cast, as they didn't seem as sincere or talented as other years that I've attended.
While some of the show was okay, for example the dances original to the show and those added a bit after it's debut (like the tap dance-off section), some of it was lackluster. However, the singers were amazing. They hit all the right notes and sounded fantastic, as did the band. The Tap-off and Russian Dervish were as amazing as always. Both groups were extremely talented and a joy to watch.
